Render Effect
for VirtuaLight and 3dStudioMax 4

Install and Quicktest for VirtualGUIMax :
- uncompress the virtual* files in your 3DSMAX_Path/scripts
directory.
- launch 3dsMax release v4.
- in the Tools panel, choose Maxscript
- run the script vlight_gui.ms in the scripts directory.
- create a box on plane. Create a target camera looking at the
box
- assign a material (Standard or VirtualMat) to the objects.
- in the Rendering Effects GUI, add the 'Virtual GUI' effect.
- in the 'Lights' rollout, check the 'Skylight' box.
- click on 'Render'.
- you must see a picture. Yes you do.
If you can not obtain this basic image, be sure that VirtuaLight
is correctly installed. If the problem persists, just send a mail

How to put the shortcut button in the Max interface :
- move the file 'VirtuaLight-MacroVlight.mcr' from '/scripts/Virtualight'
to '/ui/macroscripts'
- launch 3dsMax release v4.
- right click on a panel. Choose 'Customize...'
- In the 'Toolbars' panel, choose Group = MainUI and Category
= VirtuaLight.
- Drag and drop 'VRender' on your toolbar.
- That's all. You can now launch the rendering with this button
with the parameters setted in the 'Render Effects' window.
